Cabbage cultivation - Hof Peters
Family farm Peters lies in the heart of the vegetable-growing region in northern Germany - Dithmarschen to be more precise, Kaiser-Wilhelm-Koog, which was embanked in 1872/73. In 1996, the farm manager Johannes Peters decided to expand his previous livestock farm with arable farming to include cabbage cultivation with a focus on white and red cabbage. Over the years, the acreage of the family business has been expanded and the cooling capacities increased accordingly. The home-grown cabbage is currently being produced for direct marketing. The following generation is already actively influencing the reorientation of marketing - the focus is exclusively on marketing their own cabbage.
Our cabbage is planted in May/June and harvested every year from October. It is then stored in our cold stores directly on the farm until the end of the season.
